3G-Web ready
3G is the third generation of wireless technologies. Verizon Wireless began using a 3G network in July 2002 along with AT&T. With minimum consistent Internet speeds of 144Kbps, 3G ushered in the era of "mobile broadband" which basically means mobile Internet access—it connected the phone to the internet or other IP networks in order to make voice and video calls, to download and upload data, and to surf the Web.
How Is 3G Better?
3G offers several enhancements over 2.5G and previous networks:
Several times higher data speed
Enhanced audio and video streaming
Videoconferencing support
Web and WAP browsing at higher speeds
IPTV (TV through the internet) support
